Easyjet RyanAir English Airways Nature of Service: The nature of Easyjets administration contrasts well and that of Ryanair which is the main brand in the minimal effort Airline model. It anyway doesn't give a similar degree of administration as the system aircraft British Airways. Goals: Easyjet goes to less goals than Ryanair. Nonetheless, it favors essential air terminals over auxiliary air terminals which give it a minimal bit of leeway to clients who like to show up nearer to the downtown areas. It goes to a bigger number of goals than British Airways in Europe. Value Advantage: Easyjet has a particular value advantage over the system carriers because of its nitty gritty estimating model. Its costs are low yet can be lower in the event that it picks increasingly auxiliary air terminals like Ryanair. The investigation above shows that Easyjet isn't the market head in any of its key skills. it is consequently essential for Easyjet to improve its position. This should be possible through creative change in client support. Explanations behind Adopting Innovative Strategy With the opening of political limits across Europe, the carrier business has seen enormous development lately. An ever increasing number of travelers are bridging Europe for business and relaxation. This has took into consideration the rise of minimal effort aircrafts directly across Europe. There has likewise been expanded rivalry from the fast rail industry with organizations like Eurostar expanding their piece of the overall industry in the vehicle business. The aircrafts have likewise been influenced by the ongoing changes in fuel costs and financial downturn. In 2009 Easyjet had the option to make unobtrusive benefits of  £54.7million in spite of these difficulties. Besides, there was a higher increment in income from auxiliary sources (Appendix-2). As the organization model depends on diminishing ticket value, it is desirable over augment income from auxiliary sources while lessening cost. In accordance with easyjets vital need of building up a triumphant client recommendation and its capacity to utilize innovation for imaginative change it has been audited different opportunities for improving the client experience to accomplish development. They include: Offering a standing assistance for short take flights. (Index 2) Improving the EasyjetPlus card administration (Appendix-2) In-flight candy machine, which is clarified underneath. It opens roads for direct deals of items from Easyjet and outsiders. This alternative permits Easyjet the chance to expand income by giving promoting space to outsider providers. This would help improve the brand and auxiliary income. It would be creative as it is another item to the market and Easyjet might increase extra income by permitting the item to different aircrafts once created. It would anyway require interest being developed of the idea and execution. Structure Simple machine (distributing) will situate in some piece of the Galley (kitchen) where food and refreshments kept as well as contain airline steward hop seats, crisis gear stockpiling, and whatever else that airline stewards may require during the flight. Louisiana Gas Production and Operating Company (LGO) - 2200 Words

Louisiana Gas Production and Operating Company (LGO) (Case Study Sample) Content: Case Study: Louisiana Gas Production and Operating Company (LGO)Students NameInstitutional AffiliationCase Study: Louisiana Gas Production and Operating Company (LGO)What Might Be the Professional Skepticism in the Situation at LGO Business Environment?Skitch, Maryland, and Anderson (SMA) is an accounting firm that has been contracted by the Louisiana Gas Production and Operating Company (LGO) to prepare the annual audit plan. Due to intense competition in the market, LGO has been underperforming. It has also been under pressure to raise the price of its stock. SMA won the bid to prepare LGOs audit through a competitive process and hopes to sustain the relationship between the two companies in the near future. Based on the case study, SMA has been losing clients to other companies over the past three years. During the first quarter review of LGO, Mrs. Loise Maryland (SMAs partner in charge) and Mrs. Sarah Diamond (SMAs Accounting Audit Supervisor in charge of LGO) fou nd that the revenue numbers exceeded the horizontal and vertical analytics compared to the previous quarters and the annual financial statement. Mrs. Melinda Jones, the CFO for LGO, assured them that everything was fine since the firm had booked some exemplary sales in that quarter. In truth, however, they had been flat, and the natural gas prices were declining. Furthermore, behind the scenes, LGOs Chairperson of the Board and his son, the firms CEO, had told Jones to keep revenues high as this would create a positive environment for the company. The latter did not say anything regarding the duty to stockholders and integrity during the meeting. The professional skepticism in the situation at the LGO business environment relates to the possibility of Melinda Jones having inflated the revenues according to the wishes of the Chairperson of the Board and the CEO. Based on the case study, the firm is trading on NASDAQ at $9 per share, which is way below the $25 per share value that it h ad two years ago. Increasing the revenues would make it seem like the company is performing well, and the per share value would increase. It would also be able to enjoy the accompanying benefits, such as investor confidence. In fact, it is likely to attract more people to invest in it. According to Li (2010), Enron is an ideal example how deceptive revenue reporting can lead to adverse consequences. Generally, the professional scepticism entails the reporting of unsubstantiated revenues in order to deceive stockholders, rivals, customers, investors, the media, and other key stakeholders. How Would You Evaluate the LGO Top Management Under the Fraud Triangle? The fraud triangle refers to the framework for explaining the thinking behind an individuals choice to commit fraud. It encompasses three critical steps: pressure on the employee or executive, the opportunity to perform the fraudulent activity, and the capacity for rationalization (Morales, Gendron, Gunin-Paracini, 2014). The fra mework applies aptly to the situation that the LGOs top management finds itself in. Firstly, there is pressure on the leadership to improve the financial results of the company. According to the case study, the firms per share value is decreasing at an alarming rate, from $25 per share two years ago to $9 today. In fact, the company has been under pressure to raise the price of its stock. To compound the situation, the oil and gas industry has been difficult due to intense competition and high oil prices.Secondly, there was an opportunity to commit the fraud since the company is headed by a family. Whereas the father is the Chairperson of the Board, the son is the CEO. As a family, they own 90% of the preferred stock and 36% of all common stocks. Evidently, they are powerful individuals in the decision-making structure. Essentially, when the board of a company is broad and diverse, it is difficult to reach a unanimous decision of committing a fraud, which is not the case for LGO. Fu rthermore, the companys CFO, Melinda Jones, has been with the firm for sixteen years and is liked by the Chairperson. Consequently, she is likely to oblige to anything that she is told to do. Finally, there is evidence for rationalization since the company argued that the increase in revenues was due to some good sales in that quarter. Besides, the top management could rationalize the fraud as being well intended, especially to the stockholders. How Would Wou Evaluate the Leadership of SMA?The leadership of SMA is considerably equipped to perform the necessary strategic and operational duties. According to the case study, Mrs. Loise Maryland, who is the partner in charge, has twenty-five years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Similarly, Mrs. Sarah Diamond, the supervisor assigned to LGO, has fifteen years of experience in the petroleum marketplace. The other leaders in the organization are experienced and qualified. However, the company has been losing clients over the past three years, which signifies management and marketing deficiencies. Besides, Maryland and Diamond are extremely close, and, in fact, the former can do anything for the latter. While it is important for employees to create friendships, they should not be this close as it may impede professional accountability. How Would Virtue Ethics Come Into Play With SMAs Upper Management?Virtue ethics is a key normative approach in ethics. In contrast to consequentialism, which stresses the nature of the outcomes, and deontology, which stresses the moral duty, virtue ethics is premised on the character of the moral agent. In other words, it is interested in determining the kind of employees or leaders that people ought to be. Since a virtue is a moral distinction of goodness, actions that are considered to be right are those that support good character traits. Based on this understanding, virtues in the context of SMAs upper management encompass the adherence to truthfulness, openness, accountabi lity, integrity, humanity, collaboration, and transcendence. What Might Be the Deontology Ethical Theories and Situation With Respect to Your Role at SMA?My role at SMA requires the consideration of deontological theories and the situation in the organization. At the basic level, deontological ethical systems assert that some acts are intrinsically good regardless of the consequences. One of the best-known theories in this realm is the categorical imperative by Emmanuel Kant, which argues that morality ought to guide the actions that we take (Kant, 2012). Based on this view, morality is universal, and all human actions should enhance consistency and reduce conflicts. Therefore, concerning my role at SMA, the duty ethical theories require me to support openness, integrity, and accountability. In a corporate setting, leaders and managers should act in accordance with the rules and principles irrespective of the outcomes. Therefore, although SMA depends on the partnership with LGO for p rofits, it should not contravene the duty to uphold the accounting industry regulations. What Might Be the Duty to Perform to Stockholders, Creditors, Employees, and Government by Upper Leadership at LGO?The upper leadership at LGO has a duty to perform to stockholders, creditors, employees, and government. Stockholders, by their nature of being investors, expect the company to perform well financially in order for them to earn dividends and see their shares increase in price. In practice, they have given the management the authority to run the business on their behalf. On their part, creditors expect their money to be repaid within the agreed terms. However, the company can only repay if it is financially healthy. Employees also expect the firm to compensate and remunerate them based on the agreed employment contracts. Additionally, the company has to adopt work-related policies in order to make the workplace conducive to working. Lastly, the government expects LGO to operate within the regulatory and legal framework in place. Essentially, laws and regulations are enacted to promote the interests of the larger society, and the government ensures that they are enforced. What Might Be the Consequentialism Ethical Theory Expressed and Practiced by Patrick and Alexander Field?Patrick and Alexander, the chairperson and the CEO respectively, seem to base their actions on the broader theory of consequentialism. As the name suggests, this approach analyzes the consequences or outcomes of ones behavior or actions to determine whether they are right or wrong. In other words, a decision is right if it has the potential of producing a better outcome compared to other options. The most appropriate consequentialism theory for explaining the actions of Patrick and Alexander is ethical egoism. It argues that peoples conduct ought to be focused on promoting their well-being (Annas, 2008). It is important to note that egoism does not just mean selfishness and greed but encompass es all forms of motivation to benefit ones self. Ethical egoism, as a form of consequentialism, advances the view that self-interest is the nature of human beings. Evidently, egoism might prescribe behavior that may be harmful, helpful, or neutral to others. In the case study, Patrick and Alexander tell Jones to increase the revenue fraudulently in order to benefit themselves. In other words, they advance their self-interests at the expense of other stakeholders, such as stockholders, employees, creditors, and the government. Their actions are only aimed at producing outcomes that are favorable to their selfish self-interests.What Could Be the Quantitative and Qualitative Benefits and Costs for Mrs. Melinda Jones to Follow the Request? The main benefit is that J...

Question: Discuss about the Resistance To Change In The Company. Answer: Managing resistance to change: It is the very big challenge for the management of the companies to manage the change in the organisation. Brining change in the company is basic need these days because of the dynamic environment and the changing market needs outside. The rate of advancement in technology has increased the speed of change in the organizations[1]. It is not an easy task to bring such changes in the company and its functions. This is because there are some barriers that restrict the change in the company. Irrespective of the sector and the industry, it has been analysed that change is required in every field. Resistance to change brings down the speed of change implementation in the company. Some researchers argues that resistance is not always bad as resistance slows doe the sped of cage that allow the employees and the company to adopt the changes[2]. The best theory that has been used by the companies in order to bring the change in the companies is Lewiss change management theory that is about unfreezing, transition and freezing. Managing the change implementation in the company is very important. For this purpose, the management needs to understand the change that needs to be implemented. Behaviour is one of the factors that are considered in order to understand the resistance of the change among the people. This is because behaviour of the people portrays what they feel and what are the inter issues they are facing in terms of the change that has been implemented in their vicinity[3]. Thus, resistance can be defined as the state of mind that shows the unwillingness of the person to adopt the change. Some argues that resistance is positive while some argue that resistance is very positive. Change brings modification in the person or the company. It is not possible that the change has ben implemented and there will be no modifications. Resistance act as the barriers to being that change and modification about it is not the fact that it always proves to be negative for the company[4]. If the beliefs of the per son are strong and they think that they are right and going on the correct oath and resisting the change may forces the management to think over it again. Another positive thing is that resistance to the change provides time to the employees and the company to take a hold on the change and adopt the same slowly. Different researchers have different views about the change that needs to be implemented and the resistance that act as the barriers for implementing those change. Managing change is an art and as per the understanding of the change resistance, management strategy needs to be made. There are various strategies or ways in which the resistance of the change can be managed. Information is the subset to bring the change. It is required by the managers of the company to provide full information to the employees about all the changes. Access to the full information helps the employees to adopt the change easily. Another important requirement for managing the cage is to understand the resistance to change[5]. It is required by the managers to understand the behaviour of the people and the reasons that are driving the resistance among the employees. A proper resistance strategy needs to be implemented. It has been identified that a model or the process of managing the resistance have been gi ven by the researchers so that it can be followed by the management of the companies in order to manage the resistance to change. The process starts with defining the change that needs to be implemented. After that, it is required to understand the resistance to change and the reasons behind such resistance. Considering all the things and the reasons, it is required to make the strategies so that they can be implemented before implementation of the change in the company. Evaluation is the last step in which the change is being evaluated and the results are calculated to see the progress of implementation. Resistance to the changes need to be removed by the management in order to implement the change effectively. Providing information to the employees about the change is the first thing that is required to be done. Secondly, it is required to develop those skills among the employees so that they can adopt the changes[6]. A full plan is to be delivered to the employees in which the wh ole process of implementing and adapting the change is mentioned. Effective implementation of the change needs time. It is important to give enough time to the employees of the company so that they can understand the change and adapt it. Another important thing that needs to be done is about providing the justification to bring such change[7]. If the change is motivational to the employees then they find it easy to adopt and give their 100% to learn about the new things and if their have thinking that the change is restricting their performance and there is no use of this change for them then there may resist such change, providing them the justification to bring the change in such a ways that portrays their benefits also helps in motivating the employees to adopt those changes. It has been believed that bring change in the company is not only about getting the information but is also associated with the leadership[8]. If the employees have trust on their leaders then they will trust the change implemented by him and willingly accept the same. Resistance of change is not negative every time as it is portrayed but it slows done the process of implantation of the change and provide time to the management to think over it again and also provide time to the employees to adapt those changes implemented in the function of the organizations.
